Eucharistic Adoration Chapel in Donagh

Saint Patrick's Adoration Chapel, Donagh

During the renovation of St Patrick’s Church in Donagh in 1995 it was suggested to Canon Murphy by Joe Pat Prunty about the possibility of building an adjoining Adoration chapel. So, with the help of local parishioners and with the approval of the Canon, a new purpose-built Adoration chapel, one of the first of its kind in Clogher was approved and opened in 1996.

The Adoration Chapel itself has beautifully designed stained-glass windows with a statue of the Madonna and child Jesus next to the monstrance. Along with comfortable seating and good heating during the winter months, Donagh’s adoration chapel has one of the most tranquil and peaceful environments you could ever experience for Eucharistic Adoration.

Donagh Adoration Chapel

Days and Times for Donagh

Eucharistic Adoration takes place in St Patrick’s Adoration Chapel in Donagh every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening, beginning at 7.30pm and finishing at 9.30pm. In order to have a constant vigil of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament a minimum of 4 people are assigned to spend one hour each week in Adoration. Everyone is welcome to attend.

  • Mondays: 7.30pm – 9.30pm
  • Tuesdays: 7.30pm – 9.30pm
  • Wednesdays: 7.30pm – 9.30pm
  • Thursdays: 7.30pm – 9.30pm

During your hour you can sit peacefully, read, rest, or pray – each person can spend their hour as they wish. The most important thing is to be with Jesus, who is truly present, body, blood, soul, and divinity. If we want to pray during Adoration, then we must first learn to listen, for it is in the silence of the heart that God speaks. “Be still and know that I am God” (PS 41:10).

Church of the Immaculate Conception, Eucharistic Adoration Chapel

Immaculate Conception Adoration Chapel, Newtownbutler

Following on from the success of the newly built Adoration chapel in Donagh, a new Adoration chapel was constructed and opened in Newtownbutler in 2012. Adjoining the Church of the Immaculate Conception, the Adoration Chapel has its own altar and tabernacle along with plenty of seating and good heating during the cold winter months.

The magnificent stained-glass windows here tell the story of the Galloon Parish Anthem and create a unique and inspiring atmosphere for Adoration. Funded by the people of Galloon and overseen by the Parish Priest at the time, Father Michael King, this adoration centre continues to inspirit and bring Our Lord closer to parishioners of all ages and backgrounds.

Jesus wants us so much to be with Him during Adoration, not for the prayers you might say, but for what he has to give you. Just as we can’t be exposed to the sun without feeling the effect of its rays, nor can we be exposed to Jesus without feeling the effects of His grace. “Come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”. (MT 11:28)

If you would like to become a registered adorer in Galloon parish and commit to spending one hour each week in Adoration, please contact us below.
